Here is a case in Wales of a successful overturning of a council-led holiday restriction so that houses can be turned from holiday use to permanent. There are a large amount of holiday restrictions applied, especially where hotels are converted into apartments for example, and this often means that the sale prices of such properties attract VAT - very off-putting to buyers.
